I claim that Malala and the doctors that helped her had to work hard to get Malala back to her original state. Malala could’ve died instantly if the Taliban’s aim had been slightly more accurate, or she could’ve died without the care she had. Let’s look at the evidence. To relieve the pressure of the swelling in the brain, doctors had to remove part of the skull. It was a very risky operation considering that exposing the brain could leave Malala paralyzed on the left side of her body and without speech, but her father was willing to take the risk considering death was not an option. Then they had to get her off some adrenaline, then the doctors raised her carbon dioxide levels and increased blood flow to the brain. She also had to have a surgery in when the swelling in her brain stopped, the doctors had to fit a titanium plate to her skull. This showed that the doctors worked hard because surgery takes time and precision; it’s about doing the right thing at the right time. The doctors were very stressed too because of the needed perfection of the operation. “Reynolds was shocked at the hospital's facilities. The intensive care unit had one sink, which didn't work. The doctors were measuring Malala's blood pressure with a cuff every few hours rather than with an arterial line, which measures the pressure every few seconds.Reynolds worried that the lack of modern facilities were putting Malala's life -- and her ability to recover -- in jeopardy.” (abcnews.go.com
