Maricel's Volatile: Urban Narrative Fiction

With one month left of high school, Maricel dozes off in class and dreams of a chilling presence watching her from behind a tree in the middle of the jungle. After the nightmare ancient jewelry and notes from an anonymous source start surfacing. She believes the objects are talismans. Inspired by the charms, she forsakes her small Kansas, town for the bright lights of New York, City to become an actress.
Three years pass, and she relocates to Los Angeles after landing a lead role in a film. Despite, dreaming of the entity she comes to know as Claudius, she is yet to meet him when awake. Her first night in town, she receives a text message from an unfamiliar number asking to make contact. Although, she is skeptical, she agrees to the meeting. That night he appears to her, and explains he is a watcher who colonized earth 4,000 years ago.
As her career flourishes his jealousy increases.
He suggests they leave to protect his identity because too many people are suspicious of him. They flee through a portal to the kingdom of Lemuria to marry, but she discovers his lies and ties to a secret society known as the order. She must escape before the wedding to stop the order’s conspiracy to start the tribulation comes to fruition.
