An Investigation on Galaxy Nexus
Background Information
The Galaxy Nexus is an Android smart phone produced by Google and Samsung. The Nexus runs on Android 4.0, a new version of the Android operating system produced by Google; also known as the Ice Cream Sandwich. As stated on the official Galaxy Nexus website, it is the ‘First phone with Android 4.0, Face Unlock, Android Beam, an amazing HD screen and 4G LTE fast.’ This advanced product was released on 17th November 2011.
This research exercise will seek to:
1. Assess the success and acceptance of the product thus far 2. Collect, generate and analyse feedback from users of the product (using both secondary and primary data. 3. Identifying and recommending potential improvements to the product, informed by the results of the above.
This proposal will establish the research objectives and methods to be used during this investigation taking into consideration the use of secondary data research and the requirement for primary data research.
Research Objectives
The overall objectives of the research are to identify the success of the Galaxy Nexus thus far and, based on this, to identify improvements to ensure the success and market relevance for future products.
A secondary objective is to be able to identify areas of the market which have not yet been penetrated by the product and to inform further research into marketing the product in these areas. By identifying and improving upon any problems experienced by users, more benefits are created.
Areas of coverage for the research include areas of the existing market which are likely to require additional services or benefits. This includes those who have already purchased the product in question.
