Many people thought that segregation was perfectly fine but Martin Luther King Jr. was not one of them. Martin had many dreams to over through segregation and he did it. The patriotic dream of Martin Luther King Jr. possessed was full of hope that all Americans would be looked upon equal by all. Martin Luther King Jr. is a hero to many people across the US.
His dad’s name is Martin Luther King Sr. His mom’s name is Alberta Williams King (About Dr. King). This man was the first son but was the second born (About Dr. King). Around this time, there were riots going on about racial conflict. He was a civil rights leader (Bryan). 22 million “negroes” of USA battled for racial injustice (Bryan). When he was alive he ended many things. He ended segregated schools, white only areas, and more (Ambrose Video). Martin has had monuments built after him for all he has done (Bryan).
Martin Luther King Jr. had many speeches but his most famous one is his “I Have a Dream” speech (Bryan). There were over 250,000 blacks and whites there at DC (Bryan). Since then King has been one of the greatest social leaders of his time (Bryan). Because of this, he was the TIME magazine’s Man of the Year (Bryan). After everything Martin and the SCLC did, they changed action of segregation everywhere (Bryan).
King has many famous quotes and some that aren’t. One is “Life’s most persistent question is what are you doing for others” (brain quotes). This quote is about not being greedy and helping others. Another one is “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools” (brain quotes). This was Martin’s main reason he did what he did.
