Mary Maloney: The 'Correct'
And in the other room, Mary Maloney began to giggle.

It was Thursday and Mary Maloney had gotten away with the murder of her husband, Patrick, for now. She then walked back into the kitchen where the leg of lamb was nearly finished by the detectives and policemen. Standing quietly in the doorway, she listened to them converse about the murder and who could’ve done it.

“But the murder weapon that was used is not inside the house so that means whoever murdered him ran out of the house with it in hand and whatever they used it did enough damage a steel club would do,” urged Charlie.

The “Correct” is the “Correct” But, in these types of cases, you would think that the wife did it but there wasn’t any type of motive for why she might’ve done it,” added Jack Noonan. Standing there, Mary

“It certainly was, and we thank you for the meal, but we should get going, Mrs. Maloney,” Sergeant Noonan urged.

Feeling relieved, Mary Maloney was ecstatic that they were finally leaving but had to act normal so she wouldn't be suspected more than she already was.

“Oh, so soon?” she questioned calmly.

Then “Yes,” he said. It’s going to take a great amount of time to solve this case, so we best be on our way.” Noonan stated.

Walking them to the door, the detectives and policemen soon left, going back to the station. Closing the door behind them, she was relieved and happy that she had gotten away without being suspected.

Two days passed and it was Sunday. Mary Maloney getting ready to go grocery shopping. As she stepped out the front door, she was greeted by Sergeant Noonan. The “Oh! What can I do for you Sergeant?” Mary Maloney exclaimed calmly, keeping up her act.

“I think we’ve figured out who murdered your husband Mrs. Maloney,” Noonan stated, intently looking at her.

“Oh my!” she whispered shocked, “Who was it, Sergeant?” Pausing momentarily, Nonnan knew that his suspicions were
