Meg's Today Diary Entry
In this Journal I will be representing Michael. Michael is the boyfriend of Megan Langslow, the main character who is an artist/detective. I chose Michael because I can connect myself with him. Michael and I are both very caring and not sophomoric; Michael and I both help out with chores or with the mysterious murder that had occurred. Also Michael and I both like to go with the flow.

Diary 1 Today my girlfriend and I both had a “great” day traveling to the island of Monhegan, Maine. Well, if I were to say great I would actually want to say tepid if anything. I would say this because when we got to the island Meg and I were both expecting to have it be just the two of us; Meg’s family was actually there on the island. From the time Meg’s

Today I got up, got ready, and left the house with Meg. We wanted to get out of the house as quick as feasible because Meg’s aunt would have assigned a day worth of chores. Instead we grabbed the shopping list and bolted. Let me tell ya we took extra long with that shopping list. Meg also took me on a tour of the island and the little town on the island. We visited this little souvenir shop that had a ton of puffin related items, which ranged from stuffed puffins to puffin books. In the shop there was also very good artwork, which Meg purchased. Wherever I go I also think of my mom, so I got her a puffin shirt and hat. When Meg purchased the artwork I was confused because it was by a person named Victor Resnick. Meg and I absolutely despise Resnick because of what he did to us earlier that day. We were on our walk and we had just came upon a house that looked as if it didn’t belong on the island. It was practically made of all glass and was very well built. Then from behind us I heard a gun shot. I yelled, “Look out” and then I took Meg to the ground protecting her (Andrews 48). This is why I was wondering why Meg was buying the artwork because the money that Meg spends on the artwork goes to Resnick. In recap today was actually fun because of the tour and Resnick shooting at

Step by Step: Heather’s Story Journal Entry In this case study, Heather is regarded as an exceptional learner with Down’s syndrome that becomes socialized into a school where she engages in full inclusion as a special needs student. This impacts her comfort level as she participates in a new surrounding with other students whom are considered to be mostly nonexceptional learners, or nondisabled students. A main key learning from this documentary is the importance of interventional analysis because early intervention works together to execute preventive action in making sure Heather’s individualized needs are fulfilled, to help her adapt well and smoothly transition into this new environment. Upon further analyzation of the evaluation into the program by a multidisciplinary team with teachers applying inclusion as the specially designed instruction created for Heather includes minimal assistance provided in a least restrictive environment for her teacher to carry out a drastically modified curriculum in order for her needs to adjust to her grade level.…

The main character Jennifer is not very similar to me. She is thirty years old and is living on her own. She is an editor for a newspaper and goes to visit her grandmother in the hospital for the summer. When she is there she meets an old friend and they quickly fall in love. I don't think that I am like Jennifer in many ways, but simply because she is older. She has experienced more than I have because of her age. She has a job and is able to live on her own and make her own decisions. This leads to the main plot in the story, where Jennifer falls in love with Brendan. Brendan is an old friend that she sees when she goes to visit her grandmother. Her grandmother leaves her a journal where she has written her letters over time telling her about her life and everything that happens. So within the book, we are reading Sam's letters as Brendan and Jennifer are falling in love. Jennifer was an amazing character and we see her change more over time.…

Lewis excelled with foreshadowing “When Tom Lemming Walked Into the Football Meeting room at the University of Memphis, looking for Michael Oher, the ghost of Lawrence Taylor was waiting”(N.P.). This alluded to the future when Michael would become the most sought out offensive linemen but it gave an insight of what people in the realm of football thought of Michael instantly without knowing him. Lewis exceeded expectations by working with real life quotes to develope the charters” “It was really unusual to see a kid with those kinds of defects that wanted an education” he said. “To want to be in this environment. A lot of kids with his background wouldn't come within two hundred miles of the place””(N.P.). By including this real life quote the author added to the tone of how people categorized Michael. Lewis did well with displaying how Leigh Anne felt about Micheal without flat out saying it “The next day, Afternoon, Leigh Anne left her Business she had her own interior decorating outfit- turned up at Briarcrest, picked up the kid, and took off with him”(N.P.). This exhibits how Leigh Anne felt about Michael she cared for him just like he was her own son. People treated Michael diffrent because of how he appeared but not the Tuohy's they treated him just like a member of the…

Later that morning, in the sunlit dining hall, breakfast was being severed. My group sat at the table we sat at the night before. As I started to eat my tater-tots , the events from yesterday filled my mind. My group went snorkeling, both day and night, I could still feel the cold water soak my wetsuit. I remembered that Mr. Lacey, our principal, announced that the school would be leaving today because of a storm. I was disappointed because I payed for three days instead of two,but at least I was having fun.…

Two parents, Jenny and Bob Miller, are both well educated and rich. They have two children, James and Andrew, who are both stricken with muscular dystrophy. The prognosis is that their muscular systems will gradually deteriorate, resulting in an early death. Yet the advances of medicine hold out the promise of a possible cure in the foreseeable future with gene therapy. Closer to hand is the possibility that embryonic muscle cells from normal individuals might be injected into people suffering from muscular dystrophy, which could bring about partial relief for James and Andrew. There are risks, however, as with any experimental method, such as the possibility of immunological rejection of the foreign cells.…

I had only gotten six hours of sleep. I didn’t want to get up but today is the day that I get to explore Chicago with my friends! Even though I felt exhausted I pushed myself up and got ready. I didn’t know whether to expect it to be warm like the last few days have been or if it would be cold, so I dressed for both. I pulled my sneakers on and collected my little bag full of snacks and essentials for walking around all day. Getting to school I go sit with my friends outside the gym as we anxiously wait for the bell to ring. We came up with our plan of where we wanted to go as we munched on our little breakfast.…

I was so excited. Yes, I’ve been to a library but those were old used dusty books, here at the book store everything was new and shiny. My aunt sat in the wooden alligator chair and let me roam around the kids section for an hour picking out books that interested me. After narrowing it down, I was left with The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and Today I Feel Silly by Jamie Lee Curtis. We cashed out and headed to the Starbucks café and bought hot chocolate. Right as my aunt and I got to the big carpeted seat I spilt my hot chocolate, I’ve always been a clumsy person. But today was a special day, I didn’t get yelled at, she just picked up the cup and went to get me a new one. Right before leaving I asked if we could come back, Auntie Laurie told me we could come back whenever I wanted. As we walked out the door, I was planning for another visit the next…
