community by offering educational programs to all people. For the past five years, I have volunteered at El Centro Hispano from attending local festivals at the Westchester area to informing the community about this organization. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated a zeal for volunteering at El Centro Hispano and has effectively impacted the community through wondrous acts of generosity. In summation, the El Centro Hispano scholarship will help me reduce the cost of my university. Throughout the month of January, I have applied to many STEM programs to gain new experience and network with professionals. The professors at the STEM programs profess vital information that can assist me in my future endeavors. These programs not only help me gain vital skills for the workforce but also give stipends to students for their college costs. This stipend will be used to purchase my textbooks and help lower my college tuition. The Girls Who Code Immersion program was a testimony to gaining new experience in the computer science. The Girls Who Code was an eight-week intensive program in which I learned basic computer programming to create my own website. Also, I spoke with IBM engineers and Grand Central Tech entrepreneurs about their job experiences. Overall, the stipends received from summer programs will help me finance my college education and encourage others to enter the field of engineering.
