Mexico Clothing
Clothing is a big part of Mexico's culture. Before the U.S influenced Mexico's clothing, it was unique and everyone had there own style. Traditions influence what clothing is to be worn such as during celebrations many important pieces are worn. Celebrations including birthdays, weddings, and parties men commonly wear Sombreros. A traditional garment that women wear is a Huipil. A Huipil is a cotton blouse that usually has a floral print embroidered on it and is wide with a low cut frame. A type of shirt that men wear is a Guayabera, it is a half sleeve shirt made of cotton or linen. Many clothes are made of silk and cotton, blankets are usually weaved with wool. Many foods we eat in the U.S are copied from foods found in Mexico. A very popular food started in Mexico and now eaten in different versions all over the world is tacos. Tacos are mostly eaten as a meal along with different side dishes. Most common way tacos are eaten in mexico is a corn tortilla filled with beef or pork covered in cheese, they may also put beans or guacamole in with it. Rice and chicken is a popular meal made in Mexico, it is usually served as a easy meal. Guacamole, salsa, and hot sauces are very common dips or spreads used in foods.Common staples such as beans, corn, and chili peppers and used in most meals. Mexican foods usually involve some type of meat whether it's beef, pork,or chicken, very few meals are made with goat and sheep meat. Usually on special occasions bigger meals involving a variety of meats are made. The background of Mexican food comes from a variety of places. Mexican food is derived from many customs of the Mayans. Foods like mashed beans and corn tortillas came from the Mayans, which in Mexico would be considered a taco. Certain spices that mexican foods incorporate are similar to those of the Mayans. Many meals that were influenced by the Aztecs are still popular today in Mexico.     Tex-Mex foods consist of a variety of the same ingredients as Mexican food. The Tex-Mex Cuisine is based on Corn, Pinto Beans, Tomatoes and Chili, Texas chile, Tacos, Fajitas and much more ingredients. A taste of cabrito, barbacoa de cabeza, carne seca, and most of the other cattle products common to both sides of the border, Mexican and American alike.     In the western area of the U.S, the most common Spanish speakers are Mexican, making their food the most prevalent. This has created a disconnect in the minds of the residents because they automatically assume any Spanish person or Latin food they come across is automatically from Mexico.
