Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan is a former American professional basketball player. He played 15 seasons in the NBA. Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards. He is the best basketball player of all time. While he was in the NBA, he won 6 MVP awards, Rookie of the Year, and Defensive Player of the year as well as many other awards.

Michael was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He had two older brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister. When he was three, his family moved to Wilmington North Carolina. In Wilmington, Jordan attended Emsley A. Laney High School. He started his sports career by playing baseball, football, and basketball while at Wilmington. He played for the Birmingham Barons as an outfielder for a year. But this didn't last long, In March of 1995, Jordan returned to the basketball court. He rejoined the Chicago Bulls and helped them beat the Seattle Sonics in the 1995-96 season. In that same year Jordan starred in the hit movie Space Jam, along with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and the rest of the gang. The following season Jordan played better than ever. He averaged 30.4 points per game, as well as starting all 82 games that season. The Bulls also finished 72-10 that year, which is currently the record for most wins in season. Not only did they get 72 wins, they also earned a spot in the finals against the Utah Jazz. They beat the Jazz in the 1996-97 season as well as in the 1997-98 season. Jordan retired from basketball in 1998. He wasn't away from the game too long though. He became part owner and president of basketball operations for the Washington

Wizards. However, he relinquished those roles to play for the Wizards from 2001 to 2003 until he finally turned his jersey in for good in 2003.

Michael Jordan helped the Bulls win 6 championships in 7 years. He is one of the best, If not the best basketball player(s) of all time. He dominated the game for 15 years as well as being a role model for younger players. He has always showed his leadership on and off the court and has proven himself as legend.
