Middle School Test Analysis
There was a moment in life when I experienced a failure in passing a huge test to get accepted into one of the best middle schools in Baltimore Md . I Studied and prompted myself weeks before the testing date . I spent four hours a day each week to studied as much as I could . The test was to be given on a Friday of the year 2005 .For two weeks I studied alone and some days I asked my friends or family to review my study material with me . It seemed as if this test would determine what middle-school, high-school and eventually what college I was going to attend .
On the day of the test I had the best support from my mom and dad about doing great on the test . In the morning I ate big breakfast including eggs, bacon , and waffles so I could stay focused throughout the test . I packed snacks and drinks for the break and immediately left to be on time at the testing center .When I arrived at the school testing center I was amazed at what the school looked like inside .

I performed two points away from the accepting rate for the middle school and my application was rejected . I was so close to getting accepted but when I recieved the disappointing news I knew that my family would be disappointed at me because this was a great opportunity . I began to blame myself for not working hard enough and that I could of performed better .
When I told my family that I failed to meet the requirements for getting accepted into the school ; they were not angry neither dissapointed . The most rememberable thing my grandfather told me was " The people with the bigger hearts are the ones who always succeed but the people with the smaller hearts tend not to be as successful as the people with the bigger hearts ."His sayings meant to me that the people who fail but get up again are so much stronger than the people who fail and don't try again . Once I accepted my failure as a lesson I used that for my fundamentals for my later success

Therefore, no matter the goal you are trying to reach, always know failure comes with the enjoyment of success. If I felt like a failure after finding out I did not receive the opportunity to be accepted into the school, I would not have been able to push myself to become greater. Try and you shall succeed. If being successful or achieving a goal was easy; many people would be successful already. However, since being successful or achieving a goal takes a great deal of time and comes with failure; some people rather give up than keep on…

Never let failure stand in the way of happiness. Look on the bright side of what was accomplished, just like Benjamin Franklin once did. “It may be well my posterity should be informed that to this little artifice, with the blessing of God, their ancestor owed the constant felicity of his life, down to his seventy-ninth year in which this is written”…

For my first biology test I received a grade that I am not proud of. To be completely honest the night before the test I attended a concert and didn’t get to sleep until two in the morning. This optical is defiantly something that I could have avoided. I should not have attended the concert, or at least I should have prepared myself weeks in advance knowing that I had a concert the night before. This is my second time taking the class and I expected better out of myself. I made the same mistake I did last year by not studying till the week of the test. Another obstacle was my interest, I am not interested in the topics we are discussing but as a student I need to ignore preference and work on doing my best. Most biology test is memory based…

In this paper I will writing about my scores from freshmen scores and my sophomore scores. I will be explaining why the scores went up, went down or why they stays the same. My scores for superman and wall sit were the same both years which 5 minutes each because when I was at home I practice both of them until I got good at them. My 9th grade baseline score for the 12 minute run was 2100 and my post score was 2100 also. This was because I had soccer and gym at the same time and soccer helped me with the running. My 10th grade baseline was 1900 and my post core was 2100. This was because unlike last year, I did not do soccer, so I wasn’t as active as I was in 9th grade. I worked hard on my running and I got a better score for my post test. My 9th grade baseline score for the 12 minu swim was 19 laps and I got this because I only went half the pool because I was afraid that I would drown. As I started to swim more, I felt more confortable and I went the whole lenght…

My experience with failure came with athletics. For my whole life I have always been involved in sports like soccer, tennis, basketball. When I was in the fourth grade I joined a swim team and that was the first and really only sport that I stuck with; swimming came naturally to me, and it was something that I could do year round and I loved every minute of it. However, once I was in high school I stopped swimming and joined my high school’s cross country team. My dad was a runner all throughout high school so I thought it would be a good idea to give the sport my father loved a chance. The cross country team allowed me to grow, and I learned things about myself including that fact that I can’t run. It’s not that I can’t physically run, I have…

I was failing eighth-grade math. My last two test scores were devastating and were helping to ruin my math grade. The tests were difficult, but definitely passable. Most times I would think that I knew the material, only to miss half of the questions on the big test. I was also skipping homework assignments. I didn't know the answers, and I wouldn't even try to learn. Even when I studied for hours, I would still fail the work and have the terrible feeling of truly being lost on how to recover. Although grade was downright horrible, and it was going to drop even more, I soon found an unlikely candidate that would turn my school life around.…

Everyone wants good grades throughout their years in school, mainly in high school. I am more of a math and science person, other subjects like history and government. Topics like politics, the constitution, the United States Government, political parties and anything else having to do with Government class I had no interest in when I signed up for classes. I know this is something that I should be keeping up to date on because of the upcoming election and everything that changes with the government. The spring of my sophomore year I was looking for different classes to take, I saw AP Government. I thought I could do well in that class, I was motivated to learn something new and excel at something I was not very interested in. The first day of junior year came quickly. Then the first AP government test came even quicker. I studied the night before for hours thinking positive thoughts and finding funny ways to remember different answers. Going into the test I thought I was ready, but when I saw the test I froze. Thinking different thoughts like “When did we learn this?” or “Why did I take this class?”. I pushed all the negative thoughts to the side and completed the test to the best of my ability. The day we got our test back I looked down and about cried. I had never done that bad on a test.…

For some people it takes forever to figure out that failure is not always a bad thing, while at the time it may seem like the end of the world. “We are all potentially capable of any human act.” (Roth 39). Even the most successful of people have failed at something at least once in their lives. Maybe consider though, that failure was what brought them back up to the best, hardest working person that they could be and it did not take long for them to retrieve what they had lost and made it ten times better!…

Failing my math test has taught me to study harder. Through this experience, I have learned that if you do not put in the effort and time to study you will fail the test. I made the mistake of letting my schedule get in the way of me doing my math and studying for the test I had coming up that week. If I would have made an effort to make time to study I probably would not have failed my test. “I guarantee the people who study are going to be successful. Nothing can replace hard work.” (Hrabowski 1). This quote tells the truth that those who put in the time and effort to study will be successful because nothing you do will measure up to hard work. “To acquire knowledge, one must study.” (Savant 1). To succeed, you will have to put in the…

Throughout the course of my high school education, English tests always proved to be difficult for me. I had trouble remembering terms and vocabulary, despite the fact that my memorization skills were quite capable. However, in all four years of my high school career there was one test that "took the trophy" in terms of how overwhelming it was for me. I remember quite distinctly the dreadful day that my English teacher, Mrs. Schneider, handed out what would be the most difficult English test I've ever taken. The reason for the test's overwhelming difficulty is not because the material was too hard, but simply because I was not ready. With little to no preparation the odds of passing the unannounced test were not slanted in my favor. Sure enough, after almost an hour trying to remember every last term I could, I was only able to get by with around a fifty percent. Feeling distraught about my poor performance on the test, I realized the only person I could blame was myself. The only thoughts running through my mind were those of failure. From that moment on, however, I told myself I would never let that situation happen again, no matter what it took.…

These questions poured through my mind like water into a jug. And they would continue to for months. Even now that I think of it, I can’t believe it. Despite this unbelieving failure, there is one, if only one, thing which I think has come out good. That is, I have learnt what it is like to fail. Before, I had never encountered such a failure. Throughout the next few days, relatives would call, and even visit, asking about my results. I still am unable to express my feelings in words… However, I have now learnt to rise up after a failure; to be not so devastated after any major failure, as everything happens for good. My dad had, after seeing my devastated feelings, told me a renowned quote from an Indian author:…
