The Milky Way is the earths’ galaxy and it’s happening’s hold the interest of many scientists. In Daryl Haggard and Geofrey C Bower’s article “Into the Heart of the Milky Way” they discuss a phenomena that was discovered in the nucleus of the Milky Way only forty years ago which is a supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A* right in the core. Throughout the article the author’s explain many unpredictable events that have been observed. The author’s give evidence to support their claims such as various studies that have been done that includes studies of their own as well as studies done by others scientists on the same subject. They also give definitions for every major aspect they discuss in order to give the reader a better understanding of the article. The authors also help their explanation by providing pictures and examples of what they are talking about such as a picture comparing Sgr A* in 2008 and then in 2013 which each show a major difference. They also provide a graph that shows other black holes in relation to Sgr A* this helps the reader fully comprehend what the authors are talking about. Overall the article is effective in explaining what exactly the Sgr A* and the significance of objects surrounding the black
