others. He lived his life to make the lives of others full of ecstasy. Milton Hershey's character is a plethora of role model attributes. In addition to being a man of admirable character, Hershey served his community. Milton administered to his community when he initiated building projects, supported churches and helped underprivileged children. Hershey wanted to use his money for the benefit of his community. Hershey said, "'...I want all of my money for the benefit of...the people of Hershey...(Hostletter).'" He utilized his money when he ameliorated the state of his community, such as when he made his town of Hershey, Pennsylvania the best it could be. Hershey did this not only with his donations, but with his time and effort. Furthermore, Milton kindled and organized the projects for his town and he cared about how they were completed. As well as instigating building projects, Hershey supported his local churches. Milton helped his churches regain their congregants and repair their buildings with his bequests. Similarly, Hershey helped his community when he supported underprivileged children when he gave them an education. Hershey always wanted to offer children an education. Milton once said, "'If I ever become rich, I am going to use my money to build schools to give every boy and girl an opportunity to get an education (Hostletter).'" His wish to build a school and give children an education came true when he founded the Milton Hershey School. Hershey had no children of his own, but he wanted to give underprivileged children opportunities. He said, "''I have no heirs, so I have decided to make the orphan boys of the United States my heirs (Klotz 20).'" Milton made the children in need his "children" because he used his money to built the Milton Hershey School. Additionally, he put the aggregate of his stock money into the endowment of the school. Consequently, the children of his school were his "heirs" because they benefitted from his contributions. Hershey definitely served his society through his various benevolent works. All in all, Milton Hershey is a man who deserves respect because he was a role model and served those in need.
He used his fortunes from his chocolate company to aid the people of his community. His admirable character is illustrated through the way he lived his life. Finally, it is unfortunate that many people of the bourgeoise class do not use their affluence and influence as Milton Hershey used his in a way that benefitted the
world.
