Objective: Minimum wage has been a part of our lives since 1938, but it’s effects on the country are unclear. To determine how minimum wage affects the economy, one can look to the economic, social and political impacts of minimum wage has on the U.S. and compare it to a country which adopted a national minimum wage only in 2017.
Informative research: Research shows that more of India’s workers are working in the informal economy than ever before. Minimum wage also affects the way people vote on some economic policies. However, it also maintains fairness in the workplace, but does this outweigh the negatives of minimum wage?
Results: Research shows that minimum wage can keep unemployment numbers up in smaller or poorer towns and drive up prices
