Minwoo Monologue
Two people. Two voices. One song. One dance. The very first, but last performance. Moving to the sound and beat of the music, feeling the energy flowing through me then moving into my fellow performer. Feeling the weight of the audiences stares, but loving the looks of awe and complete adoration. The blinding lights shining down on both of us like the bright sun, moving along with us. The stage, so big, it felt as if there was no end to the cold black wood under our feet. Standing there was completely terrifying, yet at the same time made me feel at peace. I spin and twirl, then jump up only to be caught by Minwoo, my best friend and boyfriend. At the time, Minwoo was a sixteen year old boy with dark hair with the tips just licking the top of his chocolate brown eyes. He had a smile …show more content…
What if something goes wrong? What if they don’t-” I had started to say when Minwoo took both of his hands and placed them on my shoulders, looking straight at me with the most serious look I’ve ever seen him give. “It will be alright. You won’t mess up. I know you won’t. I will be standing right there with you. Holding your hand every word we sing, just like with our dance. I promise.” He smiled a warm smile at me. Man, did this boy know how to calm me down. “Jasmine! Minwoo!”
Both Minwoo and I turned to see two boys, who are twins may I say, and a girl running towards us. Krystal tackled me into a hug, her dyed red hair tickling my face when I returned her embrace. “You guys were amazing! Like, oh my gosh! You guys are gonna get into the school for sure!” Krystal all but shouted with excitement, jumping up and down, happiness shining in her dark brown eyes that were hidden behind blue contact lens.
One of the twin boys, who had dyed his hair auburn to not be mistaken with his brother, but still had the same hazel brown eyes as the other twin, stepped forward and hugged me as soon as Krystal decided to let go. Well, actually she was kind of forced to let

The first dance, “meet me in the temple”, began with two females walking towards each other to the center of the stage with a direct pathway and a heavy intention. One of the females began dancing with a good sense of control and staying grounded. This female set the phrase for the rest of this piece. This phrase consisted of an angulation of the spine traveling backwards with arms out in front of the body with palms facing forward. She then moved into a deep second plié with arms continuing to stay in front of the body as if she was asking for forgiveness from the other female.…

I got up quickly and walk over to them. The girl’s eyes, I kid you not, were glowing a brilliant blue. After a minute the color faded and her eyes were dark, but not black, they were more of a dark blue color. She seemed startled and didn't notice us at first as she leaned up against the wall out of breath. I'd be out of breath too after the stunts…

"Hey, Ponyboy," I whispered softly, surprised at the sound of my own voice. I wasn't sure I could even will myself to talk, but somehow, I kept talking. The first part is Festival Chorus. They have organized very well. There are a lot of kids sing on the stage. All the songs are well prepared; everyone performs different parts in a song. All of them mix in a perfect way, it sounds much more professional. Sometimes cadence, while sometimes is melodious. I really enjoy them. The audiences give a shower of applause to all the singers. This first part is a really good start of the entire concert.…
