I did not expect Natalie to be a demigod. I guess I'm slow on the uptake. The whole summoning lightning thing should have been a sign...but I didn't connect the dots. (Yes, Natalie we had those in the 40's, geez)
So, as Natalie explained, I pretty much froze. I couldn't believe it, for one thing, but I also realized how big an idiot I was. (OK...OK...Am) …show more content…
I saw a hand grab the back of the little girl's shirt and pull her back. She laughed and I saw Natalie's head sticking out of the window.
"Goodbye, Nico." She laughed and dragged the little girl back inside as she waved to me. I smiled and turned back around and started to walk.
I was walking towards Camp Half-Blood with my hands shoved in my pocket when the drowsiness surrounded me. One second I was perfectly fine, and the next I felt like I was going to pass out. I could right away it was Natalie. Her hair was in pigtails, and she was actually wearing a dress (shocking), but she still had the bright blue eyes I recognized. Mini-Natalie ran into the yard and grabbed one of the ropes and began to climb it, making her way up the tree. She was actually a fast climber, especially since she couldn't have been more than six years old.
It was pretty weird, watching a six year old version of Natalie. I felt like I was invading her privacy, even though this seemed like any other day that could happen to any other family.
It only took Mini- Natalie a few minutes to reach the top of the tree. (Fine, I'll stop calling you Mini-Natalie) She was at the top of the tree, which led to the flat part of the
