Company Description
Watts New is an electronic and computer superstore that has maintained its reputation as being on of Jamaica’s leader in cutting edge consumer electronics for over fifteen years. They started business in Kingston but by expanding operations to convenient locations in Ochio Rios and Montego, they have extended their reach and thus increase product availability to the Jamaican public. They continue to improve our shopping experience with well-trained computer technicians and a wide array of products and services, including computer assembly, servicing and repairs. They offer the widest selection of consumer electronics island-wide, currently stocking the latest in personal and home entertainment systems as well as other new and emerging technologies. They ensure, through continuous research, that they are always on the cutting edge, and as their tagline states, they are actually “linking life and technology in Jamaica.”
Types of IT investments:
Watts New sees a lot of events taking place on a daily basis within the organization. It can easily carry thousands of different items and see customers come into the store pick up an item and pay for it at the cashier. The workers there are constantly restocking shelves with items taken from the storage area and placing them back on the shelves. When the storage is beyond certain level Watts New will have to order new items. Complex transaction also occur when customers come back to return an item and the deal with other issues such as warranty. All the events described
