Misha Collins Informative Speech There are many odd things Misha Collins has done in his life, so I’m going to give you a little bit of history on him, some things about his life when it comes to Supernatural, and his charity.
He’s currently 40 years old, being born on August 20th, 1974. Misha was named after his mother’s Russian ex-boyfriend, so, on his birth certificate, his name is Dmitri Tippens Krushnic.
At RisingCon, Barcelona in 2010, he was questioned about his name, to which he responded: “My nickname became Misha and I took my mom’s maiden name because Misha Collins flows better than Misha Dmitri Tippens Krushric.” As he started acting, he decided to use his nickname as his stage name.
Now, a tad bit of history on Misha. He’s from Greenfield, Massachusetts, has stunning blue eyes, and is best known for his role as Castiel on the TV show Supernatural. Before that, when he was a kid, he grew up with a single mother on welfare and a brother. As a child, there were times when his family would not have been able to celebrate Christmas, if not for his neighbors giving his mother money for presents.
During the times that they were homeless, people helped them. All of those acts of kindness impacted him as a child, and are the main reason why he started his charity, Random Acts, but more on that later.
When he was in high school, he used to play the saxophone, up until his house burnt down, and he wasn’t able to get another one. Also in high school, he went to a Halloween party dressed in drag. Surprising, he was so pretty that his classmates didn’t recognize him, and started to hit on him. His girlfriend was not pleased.
As Misha got older, he interned at the White House for four months during the Clinton Administration in the office of Presidential Personnel. According to Mr. Collins, he stole a few secret service badges and made a mobile out of them.
