Some of the greatest actors come from the worst backgrounds. This is especially true for Misha Collins. He had a rough childhood and yet he is one of many successful actors. He has played many roles in different movies and television shows, and he has won many awards because of it. Misha Collins is a lovable and multi-award-winning actor, kind-hearted husband, and even created charity-related organizations and groups.
Though Misha Collins has had a troubling childhood, it never stopped him from pursuing his dreams of becoming an actor and making his mark on the world. had to live with one of his mother’s friends on a farm in Massachusetts. Misha and his siblings had to work and do chores to earn their keep instead of having to pay for rent and bills by themselves. One day, his sisters thought it would be fun to paint his nails. They were just playing around like the kids they were. Misha’s mother, Rebecca, sent him to boy scouts with the nail polish on, and he got ridiculed by his friends and bullies. The young boy hid and cried in the locker room for the rest of the day. Other incidents like this have happened to Misha Collins, but that never stopped him from becoming an actor.
Misha is a popular actor that most famously played the angel, Castiel, in Supernatural, a CW television series. Some other popular films and shows he starred in were: Karla; Stonehenge Apocalypse; and Girl, Interrupted. His career started with him working at NPR Headquarters, which is in Washington D.C. Misha followed similar government-involved careers. When he attended Chicago University, he decided to attend an acting class just for fun. Little did he know, he would become a famous actor. His first film is Liberty Heights, directed by Barry Levinson, in 1999. Since then, Misha has been in several other movies and television shows. Misha Collins has won five awards: one in Los Angeles New Wave International Film Festival, US; two in People's Choice Awards, USA; one in Teen Choice Awards; and one in TV Guide Awards.
When Misha attended Greenfield Center School, he met his wife in English. “It was like love at first sight,” says Victoria Vantoch, a writer. They have been together since he was seventeen, and they got married in 2001 when Misha finally proposed after ten years. In 2010, the lovely couple had their first child on 23 September. Their beautiful son was named West. In 2012, their first daughter came into the word on 25 September, receiving the name Maison. Misha, having been a carpenter and woodworker, built his own home and most of his furniture, discluding the lawn chairs on his porch. They all still live happily in their home in Los Angeles.
Holding a Guinness world record is one thing, but for a famous actor that a lot of people love, it’s a great accomplishment.
Misha created the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, otherwise known as GISHWHES. Not only is it the greatest, but it’s also the largest in the country, maybe one day the world. Misha Collins has also created a charity called Random Acts of Kindness. It is centered around what the title says: random acts of kindness. His charity has built schools, orphanages, and motivated people all over the world to join in on the project. He certainly will achieve his goal: to dominate the world through kindness with the help of his “minions,” as he likes to call his fans.
Misha Collins not only is a famous actor who most famously plays a role in Supernatural and Karla, but he is also a kale-loving man filled with charisma. He is also happily married with two beautiful children, and maybe a third will join us in this crazy, busy world. Misha pushed through his struggles and still chased after his dream of becoming an actor. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have won so many awards. He might not have been as successful in GISHWHES or Random Acts of Kindness, either. Now, we await what Misha Collins will do
