Babies
When babies are in the whom they don’t never feel hungry or left alone. As they are born the feelings they had when they were inside start to change, this is why they cry. Babies will feel hunger and loneliness then will understand what is right and wrong, as they do not like pain and being fed, having cuddles changes this and makes them feel better.
Toddlers
Toddlers now develop a mind of their own and like to do whatever they want. They have to be told if they are doing something they shouldn’t that it is wrong, else they will not understand that they shouldn’t be doing it.
3-7 years
Children of this age range realise how they should behave as long as they have been corrected throughout their life time, and that they are going to have consequences if they misbehave. They understand the feelings of other adults and children and expect elders to be in charge.
7-10
Have more respect for adults who are fair and understand their feelings to. e.g. (I will take you and your friend to the pictures if you help me with the house work later). They realise that other children and views as well and they will think I can do it if I don’t get caught.
Teens
Are more vulnerable to peer pressure and should go with what is right to them if they have been brought up correctly. They realise if they should or should not be doing something for themselves.
Basically from birth to teens moral development is, * “It’s right because it feels right to me” * “It’s right because it’s what we do in our family” * “It’s right because it is right”
