It involved all the major powers of the world and was fought in every continent. The Second World War was a global conflict that began on 1 September 1939.The causes has been studied for decades, yet there is no set in stone reason for the war. Several reasons have been considered, The Great Depression, The Aryan race (one pure race) and, Adolph Hitler.
Other reasons have also been given as to the cause. Some reason are; anti-communism, the treaty of Versailles and the propaganda used by the Nazis. Regardless of the cause, World War II was “the most expensive, extensive and Deadliest of conflict in history.” It is difficult to pinpoint the single most crucial cause of the conflict, and is more complicated by the number of countries involved. World War II lasted from 1939 until 1945 and involved the majority of countries in the world. Germany’s part and more specifically Hitler was intent on expanding. However this was not the intent of their leaders, which left the question as to how Hitler was able to influence his desire to the masses of that country? Hitler’s intent on expanding one would have to say nationalism was the major cause of World War II. The lost of World War I, some twenty years earlier had set in motion factors that would eventually led to World War II. The terms of the treaty that was signed after World War I. The treaty of Versailles was signed so that Germany was forced to reduce the army to 100,000 men, and could not have any submarines or military aircrafts, In addition the army didn’t admit defeat by surrendering. “The failure to force the German Army to admit defeat would have a enormous impact on the future of Germany. Although the army was reduced in size, its impact would be felt years after the war as a political force dedicated to German nationalism.
