So we went up and brought all of our important stuff up into the attic and stayed very quiet. We have to stay very quiet because our attic is right above another apartment. during the day we can move around a little bit and at night we can, not because there will probably be people down there that count rat us out. Then, once we heard the nazi police down there and did not know it was them and then we made a little bit of noise and all of a sudden we heard what is that. Then we heard this running up the attic stairs so we hid in the corner and then we say when the door opened that it was the nazi police they came running at us and grabbed us and forced us to get downstairs. So then when we got downstairs, they took us and loaded us on a trailer and took us somewhere. Then when we finally stopped we were at a train station. So we all thought that we were maybe getting taken to one of the concentration camps that Hitler that just built. So then we get taken out of the trailer. they shuffled all us into box cars and there was no room to really sit so everybody had to stand and there was limited food and water in each car. After they fit as many people as they could in the box car they slammed the door shut and locked it so the door could not open. It was so packed in there and it is heating up in there very hot. Then we were stuck in there for a bit, then the train had started to move. We were stuck in the train for several days and a couple times they stopped and opened the box cars and said give up all your watches, necklaces or anything else that is valuable and then shut the doors again and kept going. Finally we stopped and the doors opened and it was so nice to feel a nice breeze and not be packed in a box car. The first thing we all heard was Men to the left and women to the right.
