At the beginning it was a company focused in chemical and plastics just until 1980 when it started to be involved in the use of biotechnology in agriculture. First, developing countries should produce products that help them to improve their incomes, to do so they should get some of the best applications of biotechnology, the example that she gave is the narrow spectrum pesticide, which is a pesticide used for crop’s protection; however, this pesticide tends to be “poor business investment”, therefore, this is not a viable idea.
