Before speaking about ways to lead or motivate employees, we would like to focus on the definitions of leadership, motivation and reward.
According to a study done by the University Sultan Zainal Abidin, motivation is a process of individual to put an effort in order to achieve the goals. It could influence job performance and performance could influence motivation as well. Reward can be defined as injection effort of employees to perform in their work.
To define leadership, we want to take the definition from the book Fundamentals Of Management, Robbins Decenzo Coulter. It says that, leadership is the process of leading a group and influencing that group to achieve its goals.
Having defined that, we can see that those words are very important inside the company ; motivating and rewarding employees is extremely relevant, as the employees could be defined as the gold mine of the organization because they make it possible to be a successful organization complementing the managers. Having motivated and compromised employees means that those employees are going to work hard for the company’s performance.
