Motivating and Rewarding Employees, Leadership & Trust

Introduction

In this paper, we are going to talk about motivating and rewarding employees leadership and trust, how to motivate employees and keep them motivated, how to reward your subordinates when they have done a good job and what are the essentials of a good leader.
Before speaking about ways to lead or motivate employees, we would like to focus on the definitions of leadership, motivation and reward.

According to a study done by the University Sultan Zainal Abidin, motivation is a process of individual to put an effort in order to achieve the goals. It could influence job performance and performance could influence motivation as well. Reward can be defined as injection effort of employees to perform in their work.
To define leadership, we want to take the definition from the book Fundamentals Of Management, Robbins Decenzo Coulter. It says that, leadership is the process of leading a group and influencing that group to achieve its goals.

Having defined that, we can see that those words are very important inside the company ; motivating and rewarding employees is extremely relevant, as the employees could be defined as the gold mine of the organization because they make it possible to be a successful organization complementing the managers. Having motivated and compromised employees means that those employees are going to work hard for the company’s performance.

Part I : Motivating and Rewarding Employees

According to Robinson Resource Group we have noted 15 examples of ways to motivate and reward employees :

taking care of the family giving free vacations big money incentives saying thank you makes the employee feel confident about his skills rewarding safety keeping employees healthy by providing free health services on-site personal massages and mental health resources having fun at the office by offering places designed to relax and have a good time
