Movie Theater Research Paper

When visiting a movie theater people expect a quiet respectful environment for the movie, but sometimes people's annoying behaviors get in the way. These people can ruin the movie for people who are actually trying to enjoy a possibly worthwhile movie. Sometimes adults can not find a babysitter or just bring their children to the movies, these kids can not sit still for more than twenty minutes let alone be quiet for a two hour movie. With the new modern phones with illuminated screens another issue arrises of people who distract others by extra sounds or lights from their devices. People also have the habit of talking or acting disruptive to their own group or people surrounding them. Some people also get up constantly during movies and they decide to sit in the middle of rows rather than the end of one. These people pose a distraction to the people in there own row and the rows above them because of the blockage of view. In a movie theater many people can witness or have annoying behaviors some of these are crying kids, people on their phone, people talking, and people standing up or walking past.

Multiple commercials come on before the movie warning and advising people to turn off their phones but some still do not listen. Some people continually have their phone on during the movie the illuminated screen shining in the distance. With the all dark theater it is easy to spot the culprit. Even the lights on the stairs of the theater dim when the movie begins because extra light is seen as bothersome to others. Above all, people who wear glasses to the movies can have even more of a problem with people on their phones because in the dark extra bright light can glare off of peoples glasses annoying the glasses
