Mr. Eugene Mayo, a proud Pangasinense, travelled to Manila I 1992 to pursue his college dreams ad enrolled at PMI colleges, formerly known as Philippine Maritime Institute in Sta. Cruz, Manila, Philippines. At first, his chosen course was BS in Maritime Engineering but later on, he decided to shift his course to BS Customs Administration for a reason that he wanted to. He Graduated 1996.

After he works for two private companies, he challenged himself to be a government worker, applied to Bureau of Customs Port District – Manila at BOC Gate 3, POM bldg., Port Area, Manila City. 18 years ago until now, he is still relishing and enjoying his work at Bureau of Customs.

For him, working in Informal Entry Division is a triumph. He is in charged in Declarations of Documentations and Customs operator. He told us that this is the fruit of his determination. He advises us that as a student we have a lot of challenges to face, a lot of disappointments, a lot of failures and a lot of sacrifices. We have to be motivated enough to surpass the future struggles and instead of losing hope, we should use this as an inspiration.

To summarize our interview with Mr. Eugene Mayo it was successful and meaningful for us, not only he inspire us but he also showed us a good example of how to be successful and his wise words will surely help us achieve our goals. In conclusion, people made unique failures, struggles and sacrifices not to hold them back but for them to be strong enough and to build up their personalities, and this will be soon a story to share with others and to inspire
