Ms. Holbrook Character Traits
Every single living person on the planet earth has good traits. Whether those traits are overshadowed by the darkness in that person's heart is up to them. The good in humanity is often overlooked due to the terrible destruction we have caused upon our planet, cities, and fellow people. Events such as global warming, terrorism, deforestation and destruction of natural wonders is all in the hands of humans. We often think that there is no good when terrible events occur throughout the world. When these horrific actions take place throughout the world, the good in humanity is brought to light. back the shining glow and hope in humanity so many lost souls have given up on. Marvelous people often have varying traits that make them a blazing fire of hope for those who need it. One trait that helps many in tragic times is courage, being strong when facing such tragic events and bringing strength to those who lack it. A trait usually seen in many during disturbing world events is protectiveness, when people are scared, upset, or in need of emotional or physical protection, these people will be there for them. A trait helpful to those helping others grieve is comforting and safe, these people provide a safe and welcoming environment for people who have kept emotions or thoughts locked in the confines of their minds. A trait seen by hundreds of people during times of struggle is hard working, working and persevering to reach a goal they have strived for, they make others want to work hard and reach their goal and to be happy with the work they have put in. This trait is often seen during times of struggle, but fades in most when the world is stronger, supporting, these people are supportive in ideas and emotions, allowing you to bring any idea to the table and have them provide ways to make it happen or alternatives if the situation is bad. Usually in life these people will be together, helping each other when they need it, or out bringing their blazing fires of good to those across the world who need an unflickering fire of hope and love. Opening the discussion for admirable people throughout the world in today's day is Ms. Holbrook. The health teacher with a luminous personality that allows students to be able to trust her very easily. The trusting aspects of her personality bring a safe feeling over her classroom. The environment is safe and welcoming, allowing a student or faculty member to feel at peace in her classroom even during the most stressful of times. Even when talking about the most arbitrary things from STDs with the whole of a class, to secret fears and worries she calms with rational thoughts, Ms. Holbrook provides a safe space for anyone who needs it. Another admirable trait of Ms.
Holbrook is her comforting nature. The safe feeling of her class paired with the comforting aura surrounding it brings a feeling of warmth and well-being to her students and fellow staff. This trait allows her to be able to talk about sensitive topics and make others feel comfortable when talking about subjects such as mental health and suicide prevention. This carries onto her being helpful and comforting during stressful times and offering help, support, and ways to handle stress and anxiety. She provides support with a safe space to go, a comforting environment and gives different ideas and solutions for problems in that person's life. She helps many students, including myself, with the stress of tests, exams, and everyday school problems. The support she gives allows a weight to be taken off people's shoulders and allows them to rationalize and prioritize things that need to be done. Josh Bradley, also known as his screen name Zerkaa on YouTube, is a 24 year old man born in Bermondsey, London. He was born on September 4th, 1992, and went to Bexley Grammar School. Josh has a degree in Digital Film Production he earned at Ravensbourne University. He uploaded his first video “Specs Ops Series - The Pit (Veteran)” on December 9th, 2009, and is now a member of a famous YouTube group The Sidemen (Payne). He is currently living with other members of the group Vik Barn, Simon Minter, and JJ Olatunji. Josh is seen as the ‘leader’ of The Sidemen due to his protective nature. Josh has over three million subscribers across both of his channels Zerkaa and ZerkaaHD. It is predicted he gains over 1,500 subscribers everyday(“Zerkaa”). Josh is very protective of those he cares about. This can clearly be seen during the 2017 charity football match. From 2:03:25 to 2:03:39 in “SIDEMEN FC VS YOUTUBE ALLSTARS LIVESTREAM” on the Sidemen YouTube channel, Josh was helping his friend on the opposing team, Castro, after he had gotten hurt while playing football. He was helping him stretch his knee and escorted him off the field with one of his teammates. Another example of this is when a fan ran on the pitch during the game and Josh, with the help of fellow teammate and Sidemen member, Tobi Brown, got him off the pitch and away from his friends. A fan with the twitter handle “luxftminter” tweeted "@Tobjizzle @ZerkaaHD my heroes ❤ // the ppl behind me were encouraging the invader #SDMNFC" on 21 May 2017 at 3:13pm with a video attached of Josh and Tobi forcing the fan off the pitch and away from the players on both teams. Josh also is very comforting towards his friends. There are multiple times throughout the group’s video where he takes the fatherly role. This is also seen throughout the fans of The Sidemen as he has gained the title of ‘Dad of the group’ from the fans(“Zerkaa”). From 2:17:32 to 2:17:44 in “SIDEMEN FC VS YOUTUBE ALLSTARS LIVESTREAM” on the Sidemen YouTube channel, Josh is seen help in a player on the opposite team, JMX, after he dislocated his shoulder and the medics were very far away. He tells JMX to focus on him and his breathing and keeps him calm in a frightening situation (Sidemen). This shows Josh worries and cares about his friends and worries for their safety. His trait of providing comfort along with his protectiveness allows him to be a beacon of strength for his friends to go to when they need. Josh is also incredibly business savvy. He is the founder of Sidemen Clothing, Upload Event, and his own clothing line, ZRK. ZRK is a street style clothing line Josh has been working on for years with his friend from school Lewis. The project took so long because both friends were perfectionists and wanted their supporters to have quality clothing at good prices for them to enjoy. Josh also is a major part of the event Upload which The Sidemen put out in November of 2016. The second Upload event is also going to occur on September 9th and 10th of 2017 (WHY I DON’T UPLOAD…). Josh puts forth his ideas on events and is the main reason these events take place. He went to school at Berkhamsted Independent but dropped out of university to pursue YouTube and is now part of the YouTube group The Sidemen. On the thirteenth of January, 2010 he uploaded his first video “Modern Warfare 2: Care Package Kill”. JJ now has over 16 million subscribers (Payne). By the age of 21, JJ was a multimillionaire who played the football game FIFA in his bedroom ("Meet the 21-Year-Old YouTuber Who made Millions Playing Video Games."). JJ Olatunji has accomplished more than most people can throughout their whole life in only 23 years. He has made a clothing line, Beast, which has been sold worldwide. He also has written the song Lamborghini, along with multiple EPs and singles throughout two years. JJ also bought his parents a house when he was 22 (Payne). JJ has accomplished all of these things over the span of seven years when he started his YouTube channel. It is an amazing feat and most will never accomplish this much in a lifetime. Due to JJ’s fame across the internet, he has recently gone through a phase of change in his life. During February of 2017, JJ blacked out all of his social media, deleted all posts on twitter and instagram, and has been on hiatus since. Many recent tweets from his twitter account account talk about evaluating himself as a person, learning, and growing as a person. Many fans believe their beloved internar star is going through a state of depression and are worrying about his mental health (“KSI”). The course of action he has taken is admirable due to his courage to remake himself. After building a brand for himself he is completely remaking himself as a person and re-evaluating who he is as a role model. The traits people find admirable always vary, from who they see as children, those they admire, and the people who surround them is never the same for any person.
Everyone admires traits and people, but only few follow the path of being a blinding light of strength, hope, and courage during their time on this planet.
