Everyone is evil—but being immoral is in the eye of the beholder. Not every person will consider the same things evil. So in reality evil has many different faces and it seems to be more powerful than good. For example one person may think that tattoos are evil and others use tattoos to express their beliefs. The choices made are also a great influence in the outcome accomplished. In the novel “A Good Man is Hard to Find,” Flannery O’Connor explores the nature of evil.…

Good is perceived as manifestations of love, purity, salvation and goodness in the lives of people. Lesser good is judged to be evil. Frequently, the perception of good and evil is based on our own frame of acceptance. When we judge other people, we create a separation between good and evil. Such people believe their actions are based on clear reasons and understanding.…

Human nature is unavoidable; what we mindfully feel is right will be acted upon. Gould states that “... every spectacular incident of evil will be balanced by 10,000 acts of kindness, too often unnoted and invisible as the ‘ordinary’ efforts of a vast majority.” With that being said, if positivity continues to express its superiority to the wicked, why is there still a demand for people to flood the earth with optimism? Seeing that sin is balanced and overruled by obvious virtue. Has 9/11 ever truly been forgotten? Has the corrupt conduct of the attackers ever sincerely been absolved? Are the “rare acts of evil” that Gould referenced really all that infrequent? Humans are naturally prone to be selfish, to create insensitivity based on that evil, and to imagine and define previously-nonexistent, foolish…

Throughout human history, people have shown through many ways that they possess the ability to exude pure evil (or some form of it). There are a few exceptions to this vile display, however it is nearly impossible to deny that everyone possesses it. I believe that humans are bad because they attempt/commit acts of murder and violence (and in some severe cases genocide) and are obsessed with power and self-improvement.…

Good and evil are polar opposites, yet one cannot exist without the other. To understand this intricate relationship, one must have a clear understanding on what exactly good and evil are. These two are not always so black and white, but good can be defined as acting agreeably with societical and personal values. Evil can be defined as going against those values. However, as societies and humans differ, so do their moral codes. What is seen as good in one society or time may be seen as evil in another. Two more factors to consider are intentions and actions. They are two separate entities. Actions are seen, and judged, by everyone else, but intentions are known only by the doer. This is why there is no clear-cut line between good and evil.…

Good is an extremely broad concept that can concern love, happiness, life, charity, and even justice. Evil, also being a broad concept, is associated with deliberate wrong doing, discrimination, and even harm to others. We often catch ourselves getting into evil situations rather than good situations. For example, killing one person to save an entire tribe. In a way, it is an evil act as far as killing a person, but it also constitutes a good act for saving an entire tribe from one person trying to destroy it.…

Our world consists of good and bad which affect people’s point of views. Because of this they have tried to concoct explanations as to why humans are capable of doing the worst of evils, these are two of their theories. All humans are inherently good, all humans are inherently evil. The theory that humans are inherently good is one of many favorable lies people choose to believe, to lull themselves from the inconvenient truth. What some don't want to accept is the unflattering truth of human beings.…

There is a quote in the book Les Miserables which states why human nature is basically good on page 313: “Jean Valjean cut the martingale which Javert had about his neck, then he cut the ropes which he had on his wrists, then, stooping down, he cut the cord which he had on his feet; and, rising, he said to him; ‘You are free’. Javert was not easily astonished. Still complete master of himself, he could not escape an emotion. He stood aghast and motionless,” In this quote human nature is good because Jean Valjean frees Javert who is resembling human being’s this meaning that he sees good in all humans therefore humans are all good.
