Q2
For full marks please use the correct memo format; always use the standard components of the header
Memorandum
Date 27 December, 2013
To…u .
From…t .
Subject Line….
& one last tip, never sign a memo (:
A memo should start with an introductory sentence or two to tell the reader why you are sending the memo.
You may use bullets, point form and subheadings but make sure your answer is complete and concise. So note the requirements:
Identify the committee members current role and expected project roles
Outline what criteria you used when you selected them
Always backup or justify your answer by supporting your choices. It has been noted in Module 1 by several of you that you cannot find the answer in the course material. Note that the solution is not addressed anywhere in the course that I know of. My understanding is that these questions are supposed to be thought provoking and they would be excellent topics for your Google group. This course does require a lot of thought and problem solving and that is because when you get out into the real world, every situation is different and as well as the technical knowledge one must be prepared to analyze, plan, be creative and think on your feet! Q3
As always in a case you should use the mark allocation to determine how much time you should spend on a case. It is fine to use point form or bullets to organize information when it is effective, by this I mean that it is not just a "laundry list" it needs to show how the criteria will be assessed, prioritized, selected, etc.
Please look under your course material, resources, how to analyze a case, there are several examples of cases and great tips for doing a case in all your CGA courses.
The goal of this course is to make you familiar enough to be able to answer these type of questions on the exam, so in a minimum of time!
Make sure that you look at the two practice exams
