Multidisciplinary Nursing Role
The role of participating nurses in research is restricted and does not follow a standardization of care. Protocols for prevention and treatment of pressure sores should be periodically reviewed, what will assure standardization of assistance, with emphasis on health education. The main idea is that nursing training and education of intensive care is absolutely necessary in order to provide the best quality care to patients. Multidisciplinary team work in an integrated manner through discussions of cases and actions, through sharing of knowledge, will help to achieve anticipated outcome. A multidisciplinary approach is important to ensure optimal pressure ulcer care and prevention. Nurses play an most important role in this process.
