The dictionary defines revolution as “a sudden, radical, or complete change.” Can the “Information Revolution” truly be considered a revolution?

Answer:
There have been many major revolutions through out time. The industrial revolution, agricultural
revolution, etc. The information revolution is, simply put, the creation of devices that majorly change the way we relay different information to each other. While when it started can be debated, i believe it started when phones were invented.
The first phone’s invented were Alexander Bell’s telephone, and Elisha Grey’s. Both inventors hurried to get their inventions patented, and did so within hours of each other, Bell patenting his first by a couple hours. After Bell’s telephone was publicly know, it was soon used to relay information quickly, at first being used by major corporations, but soon by the public. After the phone many new inventions came out, the computor, mobile phone, etc. but I think the phone started it all. From having to write letters and then waiting weeks for a response, to simply being able to turn on an electronic rectangle and type some words and hit send, technology has helped us communicate with each other.
