Once I was accepted into Antonian I was bombarded with homework and tests. I had to adapt to cope with Antonian’s education system. Quizzes were more frequent and were more challenging. I was determined to succeed like my sister and adapted to the system after some time. My sister was in the top ten when I came to Antonian so I wanted to be up there in at least the top 25 percent. My sister played Cross Country, Basketball, Track, and Softball. Being in the Piña family meant two things: doing well in school and playing multiple sports. Although it wasn’t easy at first, it was a part of my high school experience which also gave me great friends. Before entering my freshman year I did summer workouts with the cross country team that would become the State Champion cross country team later that year.
