2-Your neighborhood-other factors: religion-disabilities-social class…….We moved around. In Georgia, it was a very black neighborhood. In Virginia, it was mixed black and white. In Minnesota, it was very white, and in Austin, TX, it was pretty diverse-probably the only place there were other "brown" people including Hispanics, South Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern Asian. I tended to live in poorer neighborhoods growing up and more middle class as of now.

How about mode of expression? I love Indian music and food, I don't think I'll ever love any other type of food as much as Indian. That is all my parents usually made. I love other types of music, as well. I like rap a lot, I don't know if that has to do with growing up in the poorer neighborhoods and thats what people listened to..I don't really ever wear Indian clothes. I think they're uncomfortable, but I wear them out to weddings and get togethers when I guess I feel like I have to. Expression, I could see that. Women in Indian culture tend to be taught to "speak when spoken to and be more submissive." I am a very opinionated person, but I dont tend to share my opinions unless I'm asked. I usually don't speak unless I'm spoken to either. I think I'm the opposite of submissive,
