My Culture
My culture is many things, not just my ethnicity the surrounds my life, it’s also everything that makes me unique. My culture is defined from the music that has evolved from Hank Williams to Rascall Flatts, The food that contains red sauce and noodles, the two main best friends that have shared everything with me, the variety of motor vehicles that bring joy to my life with no effort at all, and the single mother that struggled to raise me into the young woman I am today.
Music makes up a huge part of my life. I indulge in mostly country music. Music releases my stress, I love to sing along with the music as well, that also is proven to remove stress. Country music takes me into another world. Some people may get there by books or video games, but music takes me to those imaginable places that make life worth living.
Bruschetta Ala Mufelletta, A spread for crusty bread made from olive, herbs and onions, is a part of my Italian culture. Sometimes I go outside of my Italian culture and eat hot wings, but my diet consists of mostly spaghetti and noodles. Being Italian our table manners and morals are different as well; If you are going to a dinner party, you are supposed to be at least 30 minutes late, No elbows on the table, if you are invited to a dinner party, always bring gift wrapped wine or chocolates, and if invited to a dinner party, send flowers earlier to have delivered that day.
The biggest and most important part of my life are my two best friends Emily Smith and Jackie Chavez. I have known Jackie a little longer than Emily. Jackie has been with me through the hard times and the good times. In Eighth grade, I had a few problems, not just with class mates but with family as well. It was a hard time in my life. Throughout it all, she was always there, helping me and holding me when I was down. I just met Emily freshman year of high school and we have been friends ever since. Emily understands me
