My Desire To Become An Infection Prevention Control Link Nurse
My desire to study Adult nursing was first established when I was an inpatient on Surgical Day Unit having a Tonsillectomy. I acknowledged the impact a nurse can have on a person's life like they did mine, from then on I began to research nursing as a career.

For the past 11 months, I have had the privilege of working as a Health Care Support Worker in a clinical setting on an outpatient Gynecology clinic. During this time, I feel I have grown as a person both academically and in confidence. I have had the opportunity to carry out extended roles such as the responsibility of being an Infection Prevention Control link nurse. I have completed my venepuncture and cannulation pack which along with my basic nursing care allows me to carry out my job in a holistic

I have cultivated lovely relationships with these patients and realised more during my time with the elderly that I love to communicate, listen and have empathy for others. I enjoy spending time in their company and I want to learn the skills to really be able to make a difference.

I am a caring, organised, hardworking and conscientious person who always strives to do my best in any given situation, even when faced with the massive pressures in health care today. I am a good team player, forming strong bonds with my work colleagues but I am also able to work independently when necessary. I am now at the point in my career where I have realised my true passion for nursing and would love the opportunity to specialise in Adult nursing and make it my vocation.

I feel it is important to relax in my spare time and reflect on what's happened in the day, as I know that when I qualify this will be even more important as being a nurse can be stressful and emotionally challenging. I find it easiest to unwind whilst exercising or taking part in a gym class, however, I also enjoy spending time with my friends and

Being in the medical field for the past ten years, I have seen the growth and changes in the medical field. This opened my eyes to the endless possibilities that a nurse can do, whether it’s with direct patient care or being a resource to patients and other nurses around. After completing my RN in May of 2015, I decided that I really enjoyed being a mentor and teacher to other nurses. That is why I am continuing on with my education in hopes to one day receive my Master’s degree in Nursing and be able to utilize the knowledge and skills that I build, to educate patients. I still…

“Ms. Davis, could you go prep the patient in room 313 for surgery?” asks the surgeon. I simply reply with a head nod and quickly rush down the narrow halls of the clinic while grabbing the appropriate equipment to get the patient ready for the procedure. “What am I” or “What am I doing”, many may ask. This is me seven years from now achieving my goal of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a registered nurse. I come from a family where wearing scrubs has always been the normal work attire. My mother has been a registered nurse at a highly accredited oncology hospital for over twenty-five years, and my father a pharmacist for about twenty. I have aunts who are nurses and uncles who are doctors. For me, the health care profession always just seemed to be my future. When I first began my actual nursing journey I was worried that I had possibly chosen the profession simply because it was so common in my family, and that I never even really considered any other career. Luckily for me, my first day of clinical in “Introduction to Nursing” sealed the deal. It wasn’t the environment, the schedule, or even the salary that lead me to feel confident that I had chosen the right career path for myself. Instead, it was the overwhelming sense of joy and fulfillment that I felt when I saw how my care and compassion could help another individual during a time of need.…

In a reaction or response paper, writers respond to one or more texts they have read. A popular assignment with instructors in the social sciences and humanities, such papers require students to understand each text individually and evaluate how well each accomplishes its own objectives. If you are responding to multiple texts, you must also discover how the texts relate to one another. (If responding to just one text, you might need to situate it within the larger context of class discussions, readings, etc., depending on the prompt.) A reaction paper may include a discussion of interesting questions that the readings raise for the student, but such a discussion is not sufficient by itself.…

At one time, play was what children did while their parents got on with the housework or needed a bit of rest in between chores. Nowadays, the saying that "play is the child's work" from child psychologists and educators has led parents to believe that play is something that has to be "worked at" for the success of their children.…
