Why I Want To Become A Registered Nurse

By graduating from the University of Arkansas with a nursing degree, I plan to do what I have always wanted, to help others when they most need it. I plan to start working as a Registered Nurse where I would be able to help interpret people’s health situations and be able to facilitate their transition into having a healthier lifestyle. By being a Registered Nurse I would have a positive impact on the community. Whether it is a small or the life changing impact I would feel satisfied knowing I was able find a career where my passion was ingrained into the profession. Being able to have a positive impact on a community is why I decided to venture into the medical field specifically a Registered Nurse. By being a nurse, it would make me feel accomplished knowing that I positively impacted the community from simple vaccinations to applying IV’s. I always knew I wanted to help others, ever since elementary school and it became clearer and clearer as time went on that nursing was the right career path. Once I went to high school and started taking medical classes and having guest speakers, I felt the profession was a great opportunity to help others. I have taken classes such as Intro to medical professions, intro to medical professions extended, medical procedures, SCC Med/Clincial CNA, anatomy & physiology, and medical terminology. These classes helped finalize my decision in becoming a Registered Nurse. I
