I take the initiative to reach my goals and have the motivation to overcome obstacles on my own. I am a capable learner which is best seen in my grades and ACT score of a 31. It took many hours of studying and five attempts for me to reach an ACT score that I was satisfied with. I worked hard to study for my classes to keep my GPA above a 4.0. Last fall, I won fourth place at state for the FFA Farm Bureau prepared public speaking contest. Speaking in front of a group took me a considerable amount of practice with my FFA teacher, family, friends, and even in front of the mirror.
