“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards” (Kierkegaard). In the great debate of “Knowledge vs Experience”, each side of the story has its pros and cons when applied to the real world. Where knowledge allows its user to recall vast amounts of information about any learned subject, it fails to be able to apply that information quickly in the real world. Life is a series of lessons and challenges which help us to grow. According to Erik Erickson, the better that people come through each crisis, the better they will tend to deal with what lies ahead. People experience the most lessons during their childhood when they are just learning of how the world operates. Children and young adults handle situations very differently because their thought processes are different depending on their experiences. Of course lessons can be revisited successfully when they reoccur as adults, if they are recognized as a problem.…

In early 1963, he married my grandmother, and soon after, they moved to the US on a massive commercial boat trip over with hundreds of others in order to look for new opportunities. They raised them in America for 7 more years until his father had passed away, after which his mother took him back to live in Fuheis, to be with her family.…

For example, when I was in the sixth grade I had gotten a horrible grade on my report card. My mom told me that I was going to be a hamburger flipper for the rest of my life. Instead of taking this in a negative way, i figured out what my problem was and fixed it. I decided to take the positive out look on a not so good situation and turn it into my own success.…
