My Family
This book, as you already know, is about my family. My family is a nuclear family (a couple with their unmarried children) of five. They are:
 My father, Jai Chand Prakash
(Aged 40)

 My mother, Reshmi Babita Prakash
(Aged 36)

 Myself, Raina Prakash
(Aged 14)

 My little sister, Neha Prakash and
(Aged 13)

 My brother, Jash Prakash
(Aged 4)

These are the Prakash Family members. There is also a family tree on page 4 for better understanding. My family resides in a house in Wainisasa, Nausori. However, this isn’t where it originated. My father was born quite near our current house on February, 1970. He was part of an extended family, and so was brought up with many of his age. Life at that time was difficult for the children, since they had to work in the family poultry farm as well as go to school. After about 18 years, my father, his two sisters and two brothers, along with their parents built a new house some distance away from their extended family’s. This new house allowed more space for the members of the family and all lived peacefully. After some time, the older siblings got married and now was my father’s turn. He and my mother got love married in July, 1995. The in-laws got along well. On December 1996 I, Raina Prakash was born. The same year, my maternal grandparents, with their children (three of them now, 2 older than my mother) left for the United States, where they are still residing. The next year in October, my sister, Neha Prakash was born. By now, the house had become quite crowded, so new rooms were built and a wall divided the house into two. My family took the smaller flat, where we live now. As we grew up, Neha developed Nephrotic syndrome, a condition where protein discharges the body while urinating. Because of this, she had taken several pills, injections and blood tests. She was admitted in the hospital almost every year. Her body grew plump whenever the condition

It's rare for a book to present the true chaos of a big family (or maybe I just haven’t read enough books). This book gets the details right--the chaos and clutter, and the independence of the children, even to preparing their own meals. Granted, four children don't really make a very big family, but this book captures the idea.…

The purpose of this quantitative study is to determine the various barriers faced by grandparent caregivers. Recent studies indicate that the percentage of grandparent caregiver has increased substantially in 2005, the U.S. Census Bureau (Simmons & Dye, 2003) reported that 3.6% (5.8 million) of adults 30 years and older were living with a grandchild younger than 18years old (2.4 million) of whom were responsible for raising their grandchildren. To start my family origin paper we have to go way back to 1976 when my parents met in Alamo, North Dakota; a town of about 200 people in the northwestern part of the state. They met while going through school playing sports, mainly basketball. Both were pretty good at the sport and won some awards and had chances to play more but decided to get married and start a family instead. Both grew up around the whole farming scene. My mom actually lived on a farm growing up and also as she started her own family. My dad lived in the small town but his grandpa had a farm not far from where he grew up and also helped a lot of the local farms in the area. So they grew up being hard workers through sports and also with the manual work that comes with the farming life.…

My family has always been supportive, encouraging me to explore my surroundings and take on greater challenges so that I can go outside of my comfort zone and experience all that I can be. All my life I have celebrated the holidays and traditions associated with my religion and ethnicity, thus gaining a unique perspective on the differences and similarities between them. When I visit my Bubby for Chanukah, we eat potato latkes, light the menorahs, and play with dreidels. During Christmas at Grandma’s house, we decorate the tree, eat empanadas, and…
