The repetition of “he lies” is said throughout the advertisement to make it seem like the father is at fault for “lying” to his daughter. This adds even more sympathy towards the family in the commercial. The tone of the daughter's voice plays a huge role in the feel of the commercial. In the first half, she is happy and full of joy to have such a great father. The tone takes a complete turn when she starts listing off the reasons why he is lying to her; the little girl is no longer happy, but more sad and shameful. The change in mood and the tone go hand in hand because they both switch at the same time. As the daughter’s voice changes, the happiness and smiling and laughter goes away in the ad.
