When someone mentions the word vacation I am always ready to go! Vacation is a time for shopping, fun and relaxation. Some of my favorite vacation destinations include the Las Vegas strip, New York City and of course the beach in Destin, Florida.
There is one thing about Vegas, you will never be bored. It is not called the city that never sleeps for nothing. The dark sky on the strip is lit bright by the neon lighting that makes your eyes squint. Step in the casino and hear the clattering sound of the slot machines and the ringing noise the machines makes when there is a winner. From the exotic showgirls, The Blue Man Group, and just for the ladies the sexy Chippendale dancers there are shows to entertain everyone. After all of the fun and excitement I have a tender juicy steak or maybe some scrumptious fresh crab legs and I am sure not to forget the mouth-watering desserts at one of the many buffets. Vegas has something to offer everyone.
Next stop, New York City! There is nothing like visiting NYC during Thanksgiving. The Macy’s Day Parade is the highlight of my trip. I wake up anxiously and excited as I dress in layers of clothing to get ready for what will sure to be anything but an ordinary parade. I walk across the street to get a tall cup of frothy and milky hot chocolate to keep me warm. As I make my way to the parade route that is filled with eager children bundled up like an Eskimo with rosy red cheeks and big smiles on their faces. The bigger than life balloons of characters such as Snoopy and Kermit the Frog makes their way down the parade route. Celebrities wave as they pass the crowd of fervent people. When the parade is over I head down restaurant row to have a Thanksgiving meal. The aroma of sweet potato casserole grabs my attention at the Mesa Grille. The day would not be complete without a shopping in the crowded and famous Canal Street in China Town where you can find everything
