CCIB received CPS referral #0972-4764-8677-3023697 from reporting party (RP) stating that on 5/15/17, foster child (FC) Destiny Salazar (age 18, DOB: 04/30/99) contacted RP to report that she was kicked out of the foster home by Foster mother (FM) for getting home late the prior evening. FM stated that on a previous occasion when FC was late, she sat the child down and informed her that if she were late next time, FM would kick her out. His first wife Vickie was sick with heart disease and diabetes during her and Kenneth’s relationship. Mama Mea’s Pizza and more is family owned and operated by Boo and Brandy Beechem. The service and food are both outstanding. From the amazing hand tossed pizza too the delicious wings. Price range from 3.00-33.00 dollars depending on what you get. One item on the menu the Big Reb is the most expensive pizza because it feeds 8-10 people, and that is the only time you will spend more than 10.00 dollars on food. “The best thing to get at Mama Mea’s is of course the pizza and the boneless Garlic Parmesan wings.”…
Tracey is a friendly twenty-one-year-old woman who currently attends the 6-22 transition program within the school district due to diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. She has identified three goals for herself of: attending college in order to achieve employment in an office environment; engaging in independent living by moving in with a friend upon graduation from high school; working in an office like her father. In evaluating how best to help Tracey to obtain her goals, some areas have been identified as strengths and weaknesses for her and will need further assessment and instruction. Tracey currently functions more effectively when her routines are predictable; unexpected transitions are difficult for her.…

Furthermore, her characteristics align with that of the ‘Mammy’ archetype, and she is portrayed as an elderly, loving motherly figure, providing to her family’s needs. However, she is also depicted as somewhat uneducated and bound by the traditions of her past, which reinforces the ‘Mammy’ archetype, of a women who despite being a caring motherly figure, does not know much outside of her household duties due to a lack of opportunity to further educate herself. This ‘uneducated’ attitude can be particularly seen through Mama’s interactions with Beneatha, a more educated and modern young female characters, in their discussions regarding heritage and education. Mama is unable to understand Beneatha’s refusal to assimilate and need to express herself as an African-American women who is proud of her heritage, asking her continuously ‘what is it you want to express?’ This creates a sense of irony around the situation by displaying Mama’s lack of understanding towards Beneatha’s desire to destroy societies black stereotypes, whilst allowing Hansberry to simultaneously reinforce the concept that Mama is a stereotypical character stuck in the ‘Mammy’ archetype and unable to break out of it.…
Have you ever been taken by (defects) foster care. Well, foster care is a temporarily arrangement in which adults provide for the child or children whose birth parents are unable to care for them. To determine whether Phony boy Curtis goes to foster care or stays with his brothers will have to acquires him of staying out of jail, correcting his bad habits, and having a stable environment. One way that Phony boy Curtis goes to foster care is that he will have to stay out of jail. There will not be any fights, but with the people who supposedly adopted him a least for about a couple of weeks or days. There will definitely not be drug realization, nor be in a gang related apparel, but if happens he will be took to a new home. The second…
"Order in the court! Please come to the stands, and you may take your seats." Should Pony boy stay with his brothers or go to a foster home? Pony boy has been in the care of his brothers for the past few years because his mother and father died in a car accident. Pony boy should stay with his brothers because they can have more time together and make more memories with each other, also staying with his brother's will make it easier to see Dally, Steve, and Two-Bit.…
For decades, nature versus nurture debate has been an ongoing argument among experts studying life span development. Those who believe that nature is the determining factor of development argue that genes determine an individual 's personality, attitudes, and behavior. The other side of the debate among experts is that nurture or experiences and environment have the most influence on development. Santrock states, "nature refers to an organism 's biological inheritance, nurture to its environmental experiences" (Santrock, 2007, p. 17). This paper will take the debate a little further by examining whether nature or nurture has more of an influence on children raised…
In our reading this week, I discovered some reason why parents want to adopt or become foster parents. One of such reasons is that of infertility, this is one of the major reasons because it affects both men and women. Male for example may have problem with sperm production or the woman may have problem with fertility as the case may be, the couple can decide to go for adoption or to become a foster parent. I found that foster and adopted parent are not similar, foster parents is a means of providing temporary homes to children because they are yet to be re-united with their family, and if re-unification is not possible, such parent may be adopted. This…
In the U.S., there are two hundred fifty thousand children that are in foster care every year (Moe, 177-192). Foster care is placing a child or children in the temporary care of a family care (Foster Care & Adoption). Children who goes through abusive or negative families had to move to in foster care because of situation. Children that were just born have to be taken away from their mothers because of the drugs she was on, or the abuse in the homes. A family that can’t provide for the child, the state will take away also. Some children are given up to foster care because that not the kind of baby they want in the family or the family just know they real can’t provide for the child. Children who are home alone and start a big problem in…
The perceptions of competence are held to be more fragile because competence is construed on the basis of what others have done or are doing and there is greater preoccupation with the adequacy of one’s ability (Duda and Hall, 2001, p 420). Youths who feel excessive pressure to win can perceive themselves as having poor abilities, feel unattached to their teams, and feel vulnerable in the presence of teammates (Cote, Deakin, and Fraser-Thomas, 2005). With respect to team unity, the heightened inter-individual comparison and rivalry among athletes undermine the sense that one is closely connected with others. The climate of the team should foster feelings of “belongingness” and promote the satisfaction of the need for relatedness (Duda, Reinboth, 2005, p…
There are many reasons why young children cannot live with their birth parents this could be because their parents may have mental health issues, relationship problems or even have shown signs of neglect or abuse towards the child.…
Foster care is the home placement of children living in situations considered to be in an at risk environment. Abuse and neglect are usually the main causes for the removal of a child from the home. Change of home care is generally intended for temporary purposes to for the primary care giver to regain stability. Provisional interference is the initial intent when removing a child from the home but isn 't always the result depending on the severity of exposure to danger. The objective is positive, to remove children from hazardous circumstances, but has also been associated with the negative developmental consequences that place children at risk for behavioral, psychological, developmental, and academic…
