break in the house. Mr. Bentham stated that there are several electronic items missing, as well as some jewelry and some cash that were in the house. The home does not have an alarm or security camera system, and they have never had a break-in before. They prepared a list of the missing items before my arrival at the crime scene. Stolen property included a 32” Visio TV, a 24” Visio TV, a gray Apple laptop computer, a Dell laptop computer, a small, brown jewelry box which contained several pieces of Mrs. Bentham’s jewelry. Missing jewelry were two pearl necklaces, a diamond necklace, a pendant necklace of diamonds and rubies, a gold chain necklace. There was also $1000 in U.S. currency taken from a sock drawer in the bedroom. All the missing property had the value of approximately $5200. During investigation, a woman who lived across the street, Suzanne Lange, comes over to ask if everything was okay. Mrs. Bentham told her the situation and asked if she saw anyone around, or anything suspicious. The woman stated that she did see a black or dark-blue pickup truck earlier. It had parked in front of the Bentham’s house, by the curb, then drove down the road and stopped in front of another house. It had two white males in it, but she could not describe them any further. She thought they were lost, and just looking for an address. She said that they drove off after a short time, and that she did not recognize the make or model of the truck. I told the Bentham’s that if they find out that anything else was taken, they should call the police back and report it. I returned back to service at 1845 hours.
