For my personal project, I had a few ideas of what I wanted to do. First, I wanted to do something with gaming because it´s a hobby of mine and I love to play games, but then I realised I wouldn't really learn a lot about it since it's one of my passion and I have done a lot of research about it in the past. It took me a while before I thought, “what other things do I love doing?” Sleep came to my mind and I thought to myself, “I don't know much about it. Just that I like to sleep and it refreshes me.” I got really interested in the idea of researching about something that we all need, sleep. Also that I LOVE TO SLEEP!

Took me a while and wasn't sure if they were correct. Saved it again multiple times and turn off my computer to rest from the work.
March 27, 2016; Started my Analysis of my Personal Project. Worked on making the outline and Introduction. Got a bit confused but after some questions to my friend got it all set up.
March 28-31, 2016; Worked on the whole analysis little by little each day since the deadline was coming soon. No trouble really. Just a bit confused but got through it.
April 1, 2016; Best day ever, got done with my analysis and finished up the bibliography. Went to sleep right after.
4. Taking action
I made my personal project to show people the basics of what occurs to our bodies when we sleep. My goal is to be able to make my essay understandable for my readers, to also self-teach myself of new knowledge that I have been learning from researching about sleep stages. My essay wasn't that hard to make, it was really time-consuming because I had to redo it apart from that. I think I covered my goal or criteria. I’m not really sure about the global context but I also think I did. I feel like I could have done better with my essay and proofread …show more content…
Not just that but also that I've learned a lot more about each different stages. The personal project itself wasn't really that challenging apart from writing the essay and the analysis because I'm really bad at writing things. I think I could have done a better job at writing my essay and the report. My goal or criteria was to explain and tell my readers the basics about sleep and what occurs when we go to bed at night and I think I did a good job of achieving my original criteria about the stages that happen while we sleep. I didn't go so far into details because after all it's a basic talk. I think the main obstacle was re-writing my essay. Is not hard to re-write it, is just remembering what I wrote and it's time-consuming. I just had to re-write it even though I didn’t want to. If I look back at my Personal Project overall, I think the only thing I would do differently is probably getting help with my essay and analysis and making it better with vocabulary and grammar as that is one of my weaknesses. With the global context, my topic falls into Sociology and Anthropology which is the study of humans, social institutions, and culture. I think overall, I did quite well and I can see where I can improve. It was fun researching and learning something
