My Role Model in My Life

My Role Model in My Life. Everyone has a role model in their lives. They could be our parent, friend, teacher, or even an author of a book. For me, my role model is a president, his name is Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln became 16th President of the United States in 1860. He born in February 12, 1809 and pass away in April 15, 1865. Abraham Lincoln had good leadership and that is why he became the president of the United State. Beside leadership skills, He had very good determination to decided or judge anything. Abraham Lincoln has led America through major crisis such as preserving the union strengthening the national government, modernizing the economy and abolishing slavery. As being brought up in a poor family, Abraham Lincoln was self-educated and he pushed himself to be a country lawyer. He became a member in the United States House of Representative during the 1840s. After he was elected as president, concentrated on the military and political dimensions of the war effort. His goal was to reunite the nation. His numerous complex moves toward ending slavery centered on the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, using the Army to protect escaped slaves, encouraging the Border States to outlaw slavery, and helping push through Congress the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which permanently outlawed slavery. The personality of Abraham Lincoln that I should learn it from him is his leadership skills, with great leadership skills I can lead a team easily or even a big company as well. Also, ability of determination is very important too because if can’t judge a thing correctly it will make the whole things goes wrong. Self-access learning isn’t something that can be done by everyone, but Abraham Lincoln did it just like he pushed himself to be a country lawyer. That was the reasons why I choose Abraham Lincoln as my role model.
