My Room
Topic: Describe your favourite room at your home
Although I like all the rooms at my home, my room is my sanctuary. It is the place where I go to get away from everything and everyone. As I go upstairs, the four walls remind me of a well guarded fortress. It is a place of peace. It is my castle where I am free from all the hustle and bustle of life.
As I enter my room, a kaleidoscope of brilliant colours encircles me. The ceiling is as white as snow and it hovers over bright green walls punctuated by two large windows. Long white curtains with silver embroidery flow gracefully down to the floor. The floor is covered with pink fluffy carpet that massage my toes as I walk. My bed is always covered with a white bed sheet decorated with green, yellow, blue and purple polka dots. All the furniture in the room is painted in pink and white.
An array of beautiful furniture accentuates the room and makes me feel like a princess. On either sides of the bed are two bedside tables. Two blue and yellow Disney princess lamp stand guard on each of the bedside tables. The wall behind my bed is decorated with a large picture frame consisting of a collage photos of me from the time I was a baby. On the left side of my bed is a large white closet. Next to the closet, there is a lovely pink and white dressing table which I often use as a study table. The dressing table has a large mirror which I use when I am dressing. I have an array of nail polish bottles stacked on the table. They remind me of little soldiers in an army. On the right side of my bed there is a bookshelf which I use to hang all my medals and certificates that I have earned over the years.
The atmosphere in my room is very relaxing. The windows open up to a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. The cool breeze comes in continually and I never have a need for any fan or air conditioning. There is a wind chime hanging from each window which make soft relaxing music every time the breeze comes in.
