My Self-Confidence As A Charge Therapist
Initially, my self-confidence was lacking as a charge therapist. I am naturally a shy person. It took me a while to be able to confront my coworkers about their shortcomings. In past few years, I have changed a lot. I have much more confidence now. This course definitely is a huge help, as the Knowledge I have gain is helping me in my personal and professional life.
My paradigm shift happened when I realize that even after working very hard to set a personal example, I was unable to achieve results I was hoping far, simply because my coworkers refused to follow. I believe that some strategies to manage change and innovation to help employees to visualize a brighter future is by getting the employees excited and engaged with the upcoming changes. Try not to put together the same old usual power point presentation because that can most likely disengage them. Instead of the boring stuff, try something more up to date and plan an announcement that will make them visualize how things will be different. Try telling your presentation in a story as though the change has already happened. As your telling your story, your employees will begin to engage and be able to see themselves in the future picture and ready for the change that’s coming. Something else that is important is getting the senior leaders together and clarifying…

Once I had completed my presentation I felt there were a few things that didn’t go so well. I felt that my presentation wasn’t long enough for me to be able to explain my role in depth. Although I received good feedback from my peers, my self evaluation of my presentation wasn’t quite as positive. “Peer assessment is another means of encouraging reflection.” Petty (2004:323) My peers felt that at times I talked to the board rather than made eye contact with the group however they felt that this improved as time went on. I have identified that I am more comfortable in my workshop than I am in a classroom situation. This is my first semester taking human services classes. It has been quite the experience I have to say. For most of it I have enjoyed learning about the skills I will need as a helping professional, but it also scares me a little. When I first learned that I had to be in T-groups for interpersonal relations I freaked out. I freaked out because I am both shy and an introvert, so the idea of having to speak to people terrifies me. Over all, T-groups have been a great learning experience for me and I am sure they will continue to be so.…

They had to design their stand in 2d design, which I had spent two nights trying to work out and still needed the…
