About me!
Hi everyone! It's me, Nadya!
I am a girl of seventeen. I was born on the 3th of March 1996 in the town of Gorodischi where I live now together with my mom.
I went to school at the age of seven. Today I’m a pupil of the 11-th form.
This year is very important for me, as I'm finishing school and leaving my small Motherland.
“It is a well-known fact that we always recognize our homeland when we are about to lose it” -Albert Camus

Motherland
“Breathes there the man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said, This is my own, my native land!”
Sir Walter Scott.
What is a Motherland?
A motherland is a place which someone views as his or her country of origin. It may be someone's native land, as in the place where that person was born, or it may be the home of that person's ancestors. Many people living in foreign cultures feel a strong attachment to the motherland, even people who have never actually set foot in their own motherlands.
What do you imagine when you hear this word?
I imagine a small town, which is located not far from Moscow, my dear home, my family and school with my friends.

I was born in a small town of Vladimir region Petyshki district. It is called Gorosichi.
Town was stated in 1930.The population of my town is about five thousand people.
If you are just passing Gorodisci in transport, you can notice nothing extraordinary, but if you take a closer look, you’ll never want to go away. The nature is wonderful there. Clean air, which every citizen dreams about and the forest in the background of the blue almost transparent sky, seem to be fabulous. There are two rivers, where

Before arriving on my first day of instruction, I believed that my argumentation skills were at a reasonable level and as a result I was not going to learn an abundance in English 2, critical thinking and writing. However, this was not the case. I quickly realized that the pathos, ethos and logos of which was introduced to me in high school, had long lost their meaning and subsequently found myself in the deep end of the swimming pool, once again. With that being said, through learning these concepts, planning for the subsequent tasks and writing the assigned essays, I acquired a substantial amount of knowledge which is widely applicable.…

The town I grew up in is located near Lake Ontario in a quickly growing town, Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. Grimsby was founded in 1790 and was originally called “Number 6” and then “The Forty”. The name “The Forty” was made by United Empire Loyalists who set up camp at the centre of Forty Mile Creek who traveled from New Jersey to Canada for a better life. Their camp was set up at the centre of Grimsby which later on became a part of the downtown core. Waterfalls were the power source for mills to saw wood and grind wheat. A large pond at the end of the creek served as a harbour. The city did not become industrialized until the mid 1800’s, by the 1900’s most of the town consisted of farm equipment factories, carriage builders, hospital furniture…

It seems that all fears are based on illusion and future thinking. The future is unpredictable, and few have the courage to go explore the unpredictable. In the story “On the Rainy River”, Tim O’Brien, which is the author of the story as well, receives his draft notice to fight in the Vietnam War. The war seems wrong to him, and the fear of the uncertainty of its outcomes determine O’Brien to resist making a decision about whether to go to war or flee. Indeed, the interplay between fear and foresight is a predominant theme in this essay. “On the Rainy River” suggests that fear is a powerful motivating factor when faced with a life altering decision.…

When I joined the police department, I knew I wanted to be a part of something great. I wanted to leave a legacy and make an impression on others. I was the first in my family to choose a career in law enforcement, so initially, I was unaware of the challenges this career field came with. My mom was a teacher, and my dad worked in the printing business. Both were successful in their chosen fields, but they were blind to the demands required for a fulfilling career in law enforcement. To be successful, I would need to be observant of those around me who had found success. I would need to mirror their ways and incorporate their habits into my own. I would need to learn from their failures. Most importantly, I would need to learn what made them…
