My Spiritual Journey Research Paper
My Freshmen year I was challenged by my faith.I was raised to going to church so to me it was an ordinary thing I had to do every Saturday.When I was little I was excited to attend but the older I got the more I stop paying attention when I was told about the heart condition I had.It made me look for an answer,I would spend the sleepless night to try to understand God.I feel in depression during that time,until I came across two bible verse .1 Corinthians 10:13 saying "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." I learn that God let this challenge to make me get stronger mentally,physically, and spiritually and Jeremiah 29:11 saying "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." …show more content…
at that moment I didn't realize the the purpose.That Day I gave my life to Christ and let him take control of my life I was baptized that year.I decide after to help in the church in Pathfinders( boy/girl scout) and in the youth program as sub-director and now I am the director for the youth group and it an amazing privilege to work in teaching about God reason why I decide to learn Theology and children

    Escondido Christian School ( ECS ) is an amazing school, I love and am extremely lucky to be going here. However, there are some things that I think if we upgrade some things, it would make the school a little more fun from Kindergarten, all the way up to eighth grade.     My Personal Faith

    My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present. Some of these challenges have been series of events that I could hardly believe were happening, while others came with great joy. At five years old, my younger brother, Chandler, died unexpectedly. This was a tough challenge for my whole family to face. This challenge could have easily torn my family apart but together, as a team with God, we worked hard at picking up the pieces and moving forward even when there were days that seemed to be impossible.     My faith journey has always been about growing in faith in order to assist others in the communities, countries or anywhere God’s desire will lead me to make a different in people lives. It has always been my goal or dream growing up in Liberia (West Africa) to work in the kingdom of God in order to convey the word of God to his people that are still in darkness. However, like I mentioned earlier, I was eager as a little boy to attend church with my uncle because he was the only family member that was attending church as well as a deacon of the church but my parents couldn’t allowed me to attend church with my uncle because Christianity was considered a (taboo). My uncle was from my mother side of the family and because of his faith in Christ; his entire household was treated or considered as outcast in the community. In any event, I moved into my uncle's house in order to be able to attend church with him and his family. After a while, the new reached my parents that I had been attending church with my uncle because my parents were living on the far. I vividly remembered this particular evening when my mother came from the farm and noticed that I was not at my house and I had been staying at my uncle house, she proceeded to my uncle’s house. Upon her arrival, we were sitting in group studying a bible and she went and took her seat calmly in one of the dining room chairs. At that point I knew something bad was going to occur so I went to my uncle at the end of our bible study and informed him not to allow me to go with my mother because she's going to something that I will regret because my mother was against of her children attending church.
