My Trip To Florida Keys
The summer of 2016, I organized a venturesome trip for my dad and I to share in the Florida Keys during the weekend of our birthdays. Our trip was scheduled for the end of July, which happened to be the hottest and the most chaotic time to go because of lobster season. As a Floridian, I have traveled to many destinations throughout Florida; but never before have I gone as far south as the keys. Recalling the first time I visited the Florida Keys is one of my fondest memories.

Ultimately, the car ride felt like a lifetime with nothing to look at out the window. The drive on the way there consisted of small town, sugar cane fields, orchid farms, and mango groves. Even though we drove through the night, the anticipation of what awaited us in the morning did not allow me to get any rest. The timing of our

It was a quaint place in Marathon Key that accommodated to our needs tremendously. The hotel staff even went as far as surprising us with a birthday cake while were out to dinner one night. Reluctant to explore the local hot spots as the day was still young, it took us no time at all to check into our room before venturing out. Key west was on the top of our agenda for places to visit. We left no stone unturned while gazing through the paths of botanical gardens and the streets of downtown. Stopping only to taste the infamous key lime pie and to view the 90-mile marker in Key West. Eventually, we made our way over to the picture perfect white sand of Key West beach before calling it a day. One day before our departure, we decided Bahia Honda state park in Big Pine Key would be a perfect spot for snorkeling. Bahia is where I first felt how warm the water is in South, FL. The view underwater was crystal clear through my snorkel's mask while I swam among all the schools of fish and brightly colored coral

This is such a nice anchorage for so many reasons, not the least of which is the beautiful water. The lake has a sandy bottom, instead of mud and it feels great on the toes. There’s also a narrow ocean inlet about half a mile out one corner of the lake, so there is ample ocean water flooding in, but it’s far enough away, and around a curve, so it doesn’t bring the wave action rushing past.…

These cities have been around for decades and share similarities as well as differences. West Palm Beach is home of many beaches, however Tallahassee has none. What they do have in common is they both are located in Florida, and both cities have are homed to many tourist.…

Several summers ago, shortly after I graduated 6th grade, my mother and I took the pilgrimage that all East Coasters with a week of free time and a fresh passport must take. By this, of course, I refer to seven days of good old fun-in-the-sun in a Caribbean resort. Like many other families, we had planned to go directly to the resort town of Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, until our flight back to New York departed a week later. And so it was, for several days at least. But lazy afternoons and evenings on the beach can become stale after a while. It was pleasant, for sure, but not stimulating. Punta Cana hadn’t captured my attention as the bright lights of Hong Kong or the ancient history of London had. There was no local flair, nothing…

On day two of our trip we woke up at eight o’ clock and went down to the aquarium dining room and had breakfast. After eating we left to meet our guide and captain for our Palm Cruise. (South Travels , 2010) The cruise was great it took us all around the man made palm islands, and included an afternoon lunch. When we got done with the cruise we returned back to the hotel. We spent hours in just our hotel looking around at all of the amazing architecture that went in to building the hotel, not to mention the huge indoor aquarium with exotic fish and other sea life from all over the world. After exploring for a while we went up to our room and went to bed .…
