My brothers, Nick and Nash, and I were the only ones from our family that got the chance to take this trip. Before we left all three of us began to talk to Carlos, through our translator. We explained to him that Nate is also paralyzed and that he should not let this disability stop him from anything. When he heard that Nate was also unable to walk a sense of relief came over his face. He now knew that he wasn't the only one. Nick, Nash, Carlos and myself were all crying at this point, along with others listening in on our conversation. The Holy Spirit was moving through the home and it was 100% evident. This was the point that we all knew God had a reasoning behind switching our families. We had a purpose to meet Carlos and I know that was to give him a sense of reassurance. Not being able to walk isn't the end of the road because it can be just the beginning! Carlos is a person that I will never ever forget. He changed my perspective and my life. As we were walking out of the house Berta gave me the biggest hug one can receive. Nick also hugged me which is a very rare occasion for us. I am so grateful for this experience and that I got to spend it with my brothers. Walking down the steep hill one last time was very hard but looking up at the house and seeing Carlos was the greatest thing. Knowing that I helped build that house, I helped change a families life, and I helped give a man hope is breathtaking. There aren't many words to describe how I felt walking away from Villa Nueva on our final
