Beliefs are the assumptions we make about ourselves, about others in the world and about how we expect things to be. Beliefs are about how we think things really are, what we think is really true and what we therefore expect as likely consequences that will follow from our behavior. Values are those things that really matter to each of us the ideas and beliefs we hold as special. Values can range from the place, such as the belief in hard work and punctuality, to the more psychological, such as self-reliance, concern for others, and harmony of purpose. Although we cannot see or touch them, they are every bit as real as any physical object.
Major focus has been placed on this client’s upbringing and family life

when assessing the case. This fact speaks to my personal beliefs and values

I have for family and the way children are raised. My personal beliefs and

values have a strong bearing on the way I would provide therapy for this

client. More specific family values play a major role in some of the

determinations I 've considered in reference to this client 's ongoing treatment

and preventive measures to take to avoid relapse. Assessing this client 's

background has lead me to believe that there 's a number of family issues

that which may have impelled the mental illness for the client. The focus on

the mother had on re-establishing a relationship with the client’s father may have

deterred her judgment and care for her daughter during pre-adolescent years

which would have possibly given her some indication that the child needed

When an individual is receiving care from a care worker or alike person, they are given ‘person centred care’. Person centred care means to put the person at the centre of everything the social care workers do, not the dementia. It means that everything is focused around the needs and emotions of the individual. When giving person centred care, we use person centred values. There is a holistic or ‘whole person’ approach to care, which means not only just meeting their obvious physical state, but their whole needs as a person. A psychological study showed five different types of needs that are important to people with dementia. These five things are all closely related to the need of being loved. They are:…

The values that I hold most deeply are friendships, family, and happiness. Values are things that are important in the way I live and work and I believe all of these things play a major role in my life. Since I was a little kid, my values have changed tremendously. Back then, my values would've been playtime, mac & cheese, and chicken nuggets. I believe values mature as you grow and mine definatly did. For example, when I was younger I remember being friends with everyone, but now I only have a select number of friends. This represents values to me. My values inform my actions by them always being my first thought while making a decision. They always play a role in my…

In relation to values and beliefs, these are essentially our moral make-up. They are the thoughts and beliefs by which we live our lives, and which will help to provide direction for us. Although they may develop as we progress from childhood into adulthood, our values and beliefs will generally tend to stay the same for much of our adult lives. Our values are ideas and moral views that we, as individuals, feel are very important to the way in which we live our lives, for instance the way in which we raise our children, or the way in which we value integrity and honesty in others. Our beliefs differ slightly in that they refer to ideas that we hold to be true, for instance religious or political views and ideology.…
